Algonquin

A sharp rye-and-pineapple classic that proves pineapple does not automatically mean tiki.

Difficulty Easy
Glass Coupe
Ice Shake with ice; serve up
Tools Shaker, strainer

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz Rye whiskey Rye is traditional. Bourbon will make it softer.
  • 3/4 oz Dry vermouth Keeps the drink lean instead of syrupy.
  • 3/4 oz Pineapple juice Just enough to lift the whiskey.

How to make it

  1. Add whiskey, dry vermouth, and pineapple juice to a shaker with ice.
  2. Shake until chilled.
  3. Strain into a coupe.
  4. Serve cold.
