Ingredients

  • 6–8 leaves Mint leaves
  • 1 1/2 oz Aged dark rum
  • 3/4 oz Fresh lime juice
  • 3/4–1 oz Simple syrup
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • 2 oz Champagne or dry sparkling wine
  • 1 leaf Mint leaf Optional garnish.

How to make it

  1. Gently muddle mint with lime juice and simple syrup in a shaker.
  2. Add rum, bitters, and ice.
  3. Shake until chilled.
  4. Double strain into a chilled coupe.
  5. Top with Champagne or dry sparkling wine.
  6. Garnish with a mint leaf.
